In a dedicated effort to prioritize the health and well-being of its workforce, Production Solutions (Thailand) Ltd. recently took a significant stride by sending its HR and Administration team to participate in a specialized training course on “occupational diseases.” The course aimed to equip the team with the necessary knowledge and insights required for implementing effective training programs regarding occupational and environmental diseases among employees.
This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to comply with the Ministerial Regulations on the provision of safety officers in the workplace, a groundbreaking regulation that came into effect on August 16, 2022. The regulation mandates that personnel, agencies, or groups of people involved in safety operations within business establishments adhere to a set of responsibilities, including the incorporation of knowledge and training on occupational diseases.
One notable addition to the professional safety officer’s duties, as outlined in the new law, is highlighted in Article 12. This article emphasizes the importance of providing comprehensive knowledge and training regarding occupational and environmental diseases to employees both before commencing work and periodically during their employment. Moreover, employees are encouraged to revisit and review this knowledge at least once a year, ensuring that they stay well-informed and up-to-date with the latest safety protocols.
The recent participation of the HR and Administration team in the “occupational diseases” training course underscores Production Solutions (Thailand) commitment to staying ahead of regulatory requirements and fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes the health and safety of its employees.
