Production Solutions delivered the first Semi- Automated Sea Water Injection Mobile System (SWIMS) designed to increase recovery efficiency through waterflooding small marginal offshore oil reservoirs in the Gulf of Thailand.
Production Solutions’ Production Enhancement division designed, engineered and fabricated in its facilities a bespoke, first of its class SWIMS comprising dual seawater lift pumps with removable hanger, an automatic seawater coarse filter, a chemical injection package, a vertical treated water buffer tank and dual Class 1 Div. 2 electrical driven multistage centrifugal seawater injection pumps.
The brain of the package consisted of a central PLC control and shutdown system, Class 1 Div. 2 rated, in order to allow PS personnel to operate the package remotely. Additionally, a CCTV system was installed for monitoring from the PLQ.
The swims was fast-track delivered, incorporating Client’s requests during engineering and design, such as the installation of CCTV and API 53A plan mechanical seals for the pumps.
