Production Solutions delivered the First Automated Well Unloading Unit (WUU) to a customer in South East Asia for enhancing oil production and reserves, whilst reducing greenhouse gas emissions in offshore field
The operator challenged Production Solutions’ Production Enhancement division to design, engineer and fabricate a mobile Well Unloading Package that could be deployed in under 16 weeks, with minimum footprint and number of lifts under 10 MT, Class 1 Div. 2 rated and with a SIL 2 rated PLC for control and shutdown
In addition, the enhancement package had to be designed to be operated remotely from the PLQ, normally unmanned, due to limited POB in these fields
Production Solutions’ Production Enhancement division designed, engineered and fabricated in its facilities a bespoke, first of its class Auto Well Unloading Package comprising choke manifolds, separation equipment, Class 1 Div. 2 rated gas compression, Class 1Div. 2 electrical driven surface pumps, control/shutdown system, plus all utilities necessary to allow the low pressure wells to be put back onto production
The Semi-Auto Well Unloading Package was fast-track delivered, incorporating Client’s requests during engineering and design, such as the use of Coriolis meters for metering or the installation of API 53A plan mechanical seals for the pumps
